Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello met in Buenos Aires in 1997. Sharing a passion for photography, they quickly realized that their collaboration could create something extraordinary. Their collaboration quickly bore fruit, resulting in a body of work that exuded creativity, distinctive cinematic quality, and fashion-forward thinking. In 2001, they moved to Paris, where they won the Picto Prize for young fashion photographers and held an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo. Their career took off with exhibitions in prestigious venues like the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery.
Sofia and Mauro’s client roster includes brands both in luxury fashion and jewellery and household name brands: Louis Vuitton, Dior, Givenchy, Armani, Lanvin, Missoni, Escada, Ungaro, Loewe, L’Oréal, Coca-cola, Hublot, Eres, Chantal Thomass, Swaroski, Boucheron, Petit Bateau, Piper Heidesiek, Mc Donalds, Paco Rabanne, Louboutin, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman Chopard and Air France.
Published in several books: Babeth (Steidl) , Swarosky’s “Unbridaled – The Marriage Of Tradition and Avant-garde”, “Fashion Eye Buenos Aires” For Louis Vuitton. Since 2001 Sofia & Mauro’s imagery has been published in a number of international publications, amongst them : Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro France, Elle, Flair, Ten, New York Times Magazine, The NewYorker, Esquire and Vanity Fair.
Their acclaimed career has been strongly focused on portraying celebrities, political figures, actors and musicians.
