Talent and Partner was founded in 2009 by Mariam Boulares and Ingrid Janowski. The agency, based both in Paris and New-York, represents fashion, still life, landscape, portrait and lifestyle photographers alongside directors, fashion stylists, set designers.
These artists have been published in various international publications such as Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, Vogue China, Numéro, Numéro Tokyo, Numéro China, Harper’s Bazaar & its international editions, Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman, Dazed & Confused, Purple Fashion Magazine, Le Monde d’Hermès, T Magazine, M Le Monde, ELLE, Uomo Vogue, Man of the world, Wallpaper, Port Magazine, Architecture Digest, Travel & Leisure, the NY Times Magazine, Time Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Bloomberg Pursuits, etc… Their clients include Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, Chopard, Van Cleef & Arpels, Jaeger Lecoultre, Rolex, Roger Vivier, Louboutin, Clinique, Lancôme, Vichy, Nars, Shiseido, Biotherm, Bergdorf Goodman, Hennessy, Paco Rabanne, Air France, Nike, among others. Some of these pictures and projects were exhibited and/or published in monographs, and awarded in various countries.
Mark Lyon was born in 1952 in La Jolla, Southern California. At the age of sixteen he spent an academic year in France. Once back in the US, he studied literature and photography, then once again returned to Paris where he met Virginia Zabriskie, who offered him his first job in her gallery.
Decisive encounters with Brassaï, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Juliet Man Ray, Sophie Calle and Jean-Marc Bustamante shaped him. He completed a MFA at Yale, and then moved to New York to work for a variety of magazines.
While participating in Richard Avedon last master class, he met Bob Richardson. His first book PURE is the result of their collaboration.
Mark Lyon has been living and working in France now for 15 years.
